Description

I hold a double degree in Environmental Sciences and Geology given by the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). During my bachelor’s, I collaborated with the Toxicology department at UAB processing archaeological and contemporary leaf samples, which led to the publication of a scientific paper. My bachelor’s thesis focused on the presence of microplastics in different types of urban solid waste. I graduated with a Master's degree in Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, Norway. My master’s thesis focused on the study of sources and levels of mercury related to Svalbard reindeer feeding areas. I conducted the fieldwork for my master’s thesis in Svalbard, funded by the Arctic Field Grant given by the Research Council of Norway. Currently, I am a PhD student at the Institute of Environmental Assessment and Water Research (IDAEA-CSIC) in Barcelona. My PhD will focus on Emerging Organic Contaminants in Fishery Products, the development of analytical methodologies for the determination of persistent and emerging organic pollutants in different environmental and biota samples, and the evaluation of the environmental and human health impact of persistent and emerging organic pollutants.
