Chemist with a master in Analytical Chemistry by Universitat de Barcelona. My thesis is focused on (bio)microplastics and related compounds (additive plastics). So, my main goals are:
- Develop screening workflows, database and quantitative analytical approaches based on GC-HRMS or LC-HRMS to asses the profile of bioplastics composition.
- Assess bioplastic bioremediation processes for safe elimination of biomicro and nanoplastics
- Assess the occurrence in marine environments of bioplastics with special emphasis on remote environments and the deep ocean
- Investigation of adverse effects of bioplastics and related compounds on biota.
- Evaluate the fate, behavior and adverse effects of bioplastic residues on the environment and marine biota under climate change conditions.
