Description
I'm a biologist and I have a Master's degree in Water Resources Science and Technology. My research focused on climate change and its impact on aquatic ecosystems, specifically on understanding the effects on society from an ecofeminist perspective. In addition, I have experience working in environmental education. Currently, I'm working in the SALBIA multidisciplinary project aimed at assessing the ecological (i.e. biological communities and biogeochemical function) and social (i.e. benefits obtained from nature, social structure and well-being) impacts of freshwater salinization in the River Gambia. My main interest is exploring the relationship between social perception and the analysis of socioecological conflicts in aquatic ecosystems.
