Manuel García Vara

Environmental scientist specialized in the determination of contaminants of emerging concern (CECs) in different environmental matrices based on liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry techniques. From target analysis of pesticides or pharmaceuticals in waters, soils or plant origin foods to non-target and suspect screening approaches for qualitative and semi-quantitative purposes. Moreover, during my PhD period, I have worked on the detection and identification of new transformation products through non-target and MS2 fragments elucidation strategies. Now, I am focused on the prioritization of CECs on diverse environmental compartments for a more holistic characterization of the anthropogenic influence on nature.
