Description
Embarking on a trajectory within Environmental Sciences, I pursued a Bachelor's Degree at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) from 2015 to 2019. This laid the foundation for my commitment to exploring and understanding environmental complexities. Before that, I focused on acquiring laboratory and analytical analysis skills with a Higher Technician certification in Analysis and Quality Control Laboratory from 2013 to 2015. Subsequently, I broadened my horizons with an Erasmus stay in Iceland in 2018, experiencing diverse sampling and laboratory methodologies. This led to a pivotal traineeship at the Institute of Environmental Science and Technology (ICTA) in 2019, where I focused on investigating microplastic occurrences along the Mediterranean coasts. Furthering my education, I completed a Master's in Environmental Contamination and Toxicology at the University of the Basque Country (EHU/UPV) in 2019-2020, culminating in a thesis centred on the endocrine-disrupting effects of suspect compounds from hospital water effluents using effect-directed analysis and in-vitro bioassays. Currently, I am pursuing a PhD at CSIC-IDAEA, specializing in bioremediation and studying the effects of crop uptake of organic contaminants such as volatile organic compounds and PMT substances, contributing to enlightening the effects of organic pollutants and the advancement of sustainable solutions for the environment.
