Francesc Labad Roig

Francesc Labad is a chemistry student working on his PhD research at the Institute for Environmental Assessment and Water Research (Barcelona, Spain). Francesc enjoys an FPI grant since 2020. In his PhD research, he is focused on developing and validating analytical methods for the determination of persistent, mobile and toxic compounds (PMTs) and very persistent and very mobile substances (vPvM). His study focuses on ground, surface, waste and tap water from the city of Barcelona. He works with methods based on liquid chromatography coupled to high-resolution mass spectrometry such as Q-Exactive Orbitrap and Hybrid Q-ToF. He will perform his stay at the Georgia Tech Institute where he will work using Ion Mobility coupled with MS.
