Jose Arnal Trespallé

Description

I am currently pursuing my PhD at the Institute of Environmental Assessment and Water Research (IDAEA-CSIC), as part of the ERC Starting Grant project "Uplift." My research focuses on developing stochastic models to better understand and predict the transport and mixing of dissolved substances in partially-saturated porous media, particularly within the vadose zone.
I hold a Master's degree in Physics of Complex Systems and Biophysics from the University of Barcelona and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Zaragoza. My experience includes theoretical modeling and numerical methods, along with scientific programming in C, C++, and Python. I have also conducted research in complex systems, reflected in my Master's thesis on spin glasses and my Bachelor's thesis on the dynamics of competing infectious processes in duplex contact structures.
