Description

PhD in Earth Sciences from the University of Barcelona (UB), specialized in the assessment of multi-hazard associated with natural processes and natural risk management. Currently a postdoctoral researcher at IDAEA-CSIC. Holds a dual degree in Geology and Environmental Sciences from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), a Master's degree in Mineral Resources and Geological Risks from UB, and a postgraduate degree in Volcanology from the University of Girona. Worked as a geointern at the Volcanological Institute of the Canary Islands (INVOLCAN) and the Technological and Renewable Energy Institute (ITER) in Tenerife in 2018, geologist at the Catalan Geotechnics Center S.L. from 2018 to 2019, predoctoral researcher at Geociencias Barcelona (GEO3BCN – CSIC) from 2020 to 2023, and visiting researcher for 3 months at the Faculty of Earth Sciences at the University of Iceland in 2022. Co-director of the International Field Course in Physical Volcanology in Tenerife since 2021, reviewer for the journal Scientific Reports in 2022, and co-editor of the special issue "Volcanic Risk Assessment and Sustainable Development" in the journal "Sustainability" since 2023. Actively participated in European and national projects such as EVE, MAPCAN, and ChEESE-2P, and has published in high-impact journals, including Earth-Sciences Reviews, Journal of Geophysical Research, and soon as a co-author in the 3rd Edition of the "Encyclopedia of Volcanoes." Represented GEO3BCN - CSIC at the Business Fair of the UB in the 2022 and 2023 editions.
Currently, she is a co-founder of the MultiRisk Prevention group, focused on the prevention of natural disasters, with which she was a finalist in the National HACKATHON organized in Barcelona by CSIC in 2023. She presented at the Barcelona Deep Tech Summit 2023, marking the beginning of her entrepreneurial journey. She attended the VII National Congress of Entrepreneurial Scientists held in Murcia in 2023 and was selected to participate in the program "De la Ciència al Mercat", also in 2023.
