Natalia Bravo Villarraso
Description
Natalia Bravo obtained her BSc in Chemistry (2008), a MsC in Advanced Chemisty (2010) and a phD in Chemistry (2019) in the Barcelona University (UB). In 2011 she joined the Institute of Environmental Assessment and Water Research (IDAEA-CSIC) as a technician within the JAE-TEC program for graduate’s specialization. Then she had the opportunity to work on her phD thesis at IDAEA-CSIC in contamination and human health within the UB program under the guidance of Prof. Joan O. Grimalt. She has worked as technical support staff at the Spanish Geological Survey (IGME) in the area of paleoclimatology on past climate reconstruction.
Currently she is working as a postdoctoral researcher in the Geochemistry and Pollution group. Her research is focused on the study of organic pollutants, specifically, persistent halogenated pollutants and organophosphate and pyrethroids pesticides, determining their effects on the human health.
