Olha Nikolenko

Olha Nikolenko works as a Post-Doc Researcher in the framework of the project “Hydrochemical coupled processes affecting contaminants of emerging concern in urban groundwater”. Olha holds a PhD in Engineering and Technology Sciences obtained in 2020 at ULg (Belgium). She owns two master degrees: one in Ecology and Environmental Protection, awarded by the Geological Department of the Ivan Franko Lviv National University (Ukraine, 2009), and another in Ecohydrology, awarded by the Department of Hydrology and Water Resources Research of the University of Kiel (Germany, in 2015). Olha explores processes of transfer and transformation of nutrients, greenhouse gases, heavy metals, emerging organic and inorganic pollutants within different compartments of surface and subsurface aquatic associated media. Her research falls into conjunction between hydrogeology, hydrology, microbiology, organic and inorganic chemistry.
