Pablo Gago Ferrero is an Associate Professor and the leader of a research team (the Expo-Hum group, 15 members). His research strives for increased knowledge about the chemical exposome and the development of methods to measure it (exposomics). He has extensive experience in the application of HRMS to better understand the current environmental and health challenges related to chemicals. His main goal is to obtain a more comprehensive understanding of the universe of chemicals that accumulate in humans and link it to human health.
By 2025, he has over 100 indexed publications in international journals (h-45) and has received prestigious awards, such as the James J. Morgan Award Mention for Emerging Talent from the American Chemical Society and the award from the Catalan Society of Chemistry. Since 2022, he has served as an Associate and Executive Editor on the exposome for Environmental Science & Technology.
