Our service

Summary

The HPC and Data Analytics service specializes in:

  1. 1. The development of numerical models of flow and transport in porous media and the analysis of large-scale biogeochemical and environmental datasets, including:
  • Multiphase flow and contaminant transport modelling
  • Fractured media modelling
  • Soil and unsaturated zone modelling
  • Variable-density modelling
  • Lagrangian analysis of contaminant transport
  1. 2. The analysis and interpretation of metagenomic data from amplicon sequencing and shotgun metagenomics, including:
  • Quality control and preprocessing of sequences (trimming, filtering and contaminant removal)
  • Taxonomic profiling using specific databases (16S, 18S, ITS, etc.)
  • Assembly and functional annotation of metagenomic data
  • Estimation of microbial diversity (alpha and beta diversity)
  • Identification of genes and metabolic pathways
  • Use of standard and customized pipelines
  • Data visualization and generation of customized reports
