Summary
Mercury Analysis in Enviromental Samples can be performed on any type of solid sample (e.g. sediment, soil, particulate matter, biological material, food, etc.). The analysis is performed according to EPA Method 7473 using a LECO AMA-254 mercury analyzer. The procedure is based on the thermal decomposition of the solid sample, gold amalgamation, thermal desorption and detection by atomic absorption spectrophotometry.
