I am a chemist holding a B.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Barcelona (2018–2022) and a Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry from IQS (Institut Químic de Sarrià). Currently, I am a PhD candidate at IDAEA-CSIC, where my research focuses on the environmental dynamics and analytical determination of marine toxins. My doctoral work centers on:
– Developing robust analytical methodologies for the extraction and quantification of toxins in seawater.
– Building a comprehensive database of marine toxin analogues and degradation products to perform suspect screening workflows.
– Evaluating dissolved organic matter (DOM) profiles in relation to toxin presence.
– Assessing the physiological response of toxin-producing microalgae (such as dinoflagellates and diatoms) under projected climate change scenarios like ocean warming, acidification, increasing anthropogenic pollutants, and associated environmental shifts.
