A biogeochemist with six years of highly international research experience. Dr. Thaysen´s core research areas include biogeochemical cycling of carbon and hydrogen, the effect of climate change on global ecosystems, global climate change mitigation technologies as well as energy storage technologies that can secure a low carbon energy future. Dr. Thaysen advances and transforms current understanding in these areas through state-of-the-art experiments and benchmarking of numerical modelling. Apart from research, Dr. Thaysen also holds experience in project management and technical coordination (IDAEA-lead EU-project UPWATER, 2022-2026).
