Elisa García Gómez is a Research and Technical Staff member at the Water, Environmental and Food Chemistry Team (ENFOCHEM) of the Institute of Environmental Assessment and Water Research (IDAEA-CSIC). She holds a PhD in Water Science and Technology from the University of Girona and has extensive experience in environmental analytical chemistry applied to water quality assessment within national and European research projects.
Her work focuses on the development and application of advanced analytical methods for the identification, characterization and monitoring of organic contaminants in environmental matrices, with special emphasis on aquatic systems. Her expertise includes liquid and gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry, advanced sample preparation techniques, experimental design and data processing, with experience in both targeted and non-targeted analysis of organic contaminants, contributing to the protection of water quality and environmental health.
