Dr. Marc Marín-García is currently a specialized technician in the Environmental Chemistry Department of IDAEA-CSIC. He holds a PhD in Analytical Chemistry and Environment from the University of Barcelona.
His research focuses on the development and application of advanced analytical methodologies based on liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (LC-HRMS) and the use of chemometric tools for the analysis of complex environmental data. He has extensive experience in non-targeted analysis (NTA), environmental metabolomics, multivariate curve resolution (MCR-ALS), and multiblock data fusion, applied to the study of emerging contaminants, degradation processes, and environmental risk assessment in aquatic systems. He is the author of several articles in high-impact international journals (Environmental Research, Talanta, Analytica Chimica Acta, Chemometrics and Intelligent Laboratory Systems), with notable contributions to the study of PFAS, transformation products, and the toxic effects of contaminants using metabolomic approaches. He has participated in several competitive national projects related to analytical and chemometric methodologies applied to environmental pollution (CHEMIPARK, PrecisionERA, COGNICHEM, MEGACHEMOM).
