Environmental scientist and epidemiologist with a PhD in Environmental Sciences and Technology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). My research focuses on air pollution, exposure assessment, and their impacts on human health, particularly during pregnancy and early childhood.
Throughout my career, I have worked at leading research institutions, including ISGlobal, King’s College London, and IDAEA-CSIC. I have been awarded several competitive fellowships, including two Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual, a Beatriu de Pinós, and a Ramón y Cajal fellowship.
I am currently a Tenured Researcher (Científica Titular) at IDAEA-CSIC, where I investigate the effects of (prenatal) exposure to air pollution and other environmental and lifestyle factors on maternal mental health, child neurodevelopment, and other health outcomes in different susceptible populations, through the Barcelona Life Study Cohort (https://projectebisc.org/en/home/) and other projects.
