I’m a PhD researcher at the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia (UVic-UCC). I hold a degree in Biology and a Master’s degree in Oceanography and Marine Environmental Management from the University of Barcelona. My previous work focused on marine biodiversity, including biological sampling and taxonomic identification of marine organisms during hydroacoustic research surveys.
My doctoral research addresses environmental pollution and contaminant exposure in aquatic ecosystems, using the European eel (Anguilla anguilla) as a model species, I study the occurrence and bioaccumulation of contaminants in eel tissues, and I analyse how contaminant levels and profiles vary across ecosystems with different environmental characteristics. The research is carried out within the AnguillaMed project and contributes to assessing the environmental pressures affecting Mediterranean waters.
